2018 UA Western Canada
Apprentice Competition

From April 10th – 12th, the 2018 UA Western Regional Apprentice Competition was held at UA Local 496 in Calgary, AB.  Representing Local 516, apprentice Alex B. of Hytek Mechanical competed against apprentices from Alberta and Manitoba, both of which had more work experience and technical training than Alex.  Using the skills and knowledge he acquired in the JARTS Pre Apprentice program and his short time on the tools, Alex came out on top!

In June, Alex will be heading to UA Local 488 in Edmonton to represent Western Canada at the UA National Apprentice Competition.

Congratulations Alex!  You have made us all proud.  Good luck in Edmonton!
