Whether you are brand new to the trades, already a Registered Apprentice, or a Red Seal Refrigeration Journeyperson, there are a few pathways into membership with UA Local 516.
Applying for membership in no way guarantees membership with UA Local 516 or employment with a signatory contractor.

A foundation course is the best way to access employment. There are many to choose from, and we recommend the following:
You must have:
- Permission to work in Canada
- Foundations of Math 11 (at mimimum)
- Clean drivers abstract
- Updated resume
- Physical ability to work from ladders
